Coatlicue could not seem to lift herself out of mourning Artie’s death. She would seem fine, first talking to either one of her daughters about something completely unrelated, then suddenly burst into tears onto their shoulders. This went on for a few days. Chantico and Metzli grew worried, they could see their mother losing her rock solid strength.
One morning, Coatlicue woke up quietly and did her usual routine: toilet, shower, breakfast. After eating she stood by the computer desk where Artie’s final living moments were. “I’m ready,” she stated calmly. “I’ve established our roots and my work is done. My children are grown up and it’s time for them to move forward.”
