A legacy of sun-worshipping cannibals (just kidding)

My bad (author’s note).

Hi everyone. I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to write the next Aztec chapter. I am definitely NOT quitting this legacy, I’ve just (admittedly) been lazier than usual about writing. =P As a result, I am now WAY ahead in the game than where this blog is.  So I hope to churn out a few more chapters within the near future to catch up. Chapter 9 should be up within the next day or two if not tonight. Don’t give up on me, readers! I’m still at it.

Thanks, happy simming!

Chapter 4: Growth

screenshot-83The tension between Artie and Coatlicue did not completely go away, but at the moment it was overshadowed by the pure joy of becoming new parents. They were both willing to put aside their own difficulties to ensure they could give the best lives possible to Metzli and Chantico. Of course, this included some changes to their baby preparations. Now they needed another crib, twice the amount of diapers, and twice the energy, love, and attention.

(Note: Sorry about the bad picture editing, was trying to make it less dark=\)

After their first WooHoo, Coatlicue and Artie couldn’t keep their hands off each other. She had never felt so elated, with the exception of Artie’s grumpy moodlets and need for solitude. But hey, nobody’s perfect right? Wait a minute, what’s that stench?

Now that I have your attention ;-) welcome back!

After dealing with Hank, Ian, and the other unsuccessful attempts at a mate, Coatlicue decided to try a different approach. She would sit back and let men pursue her. And what better way to do so than in a bikini? It was a sunny weekend day, so the pool was bound to be jammed with hotties. She made sure to walk with long, sexy strides, swing those nice birthing hips, and hold her head high and confident, avoiding eye contact as she settled into her deck chair. Imagine her horror after actually studying the pool patrons.

Chapter 1 – The Search

Coatlicue had a great first day of work! No promotion yet, but she sucked up to her boss, Thornton and was good friends with him by the end of the workday. Definitely a smart move!

After work, she went to the gym for a shower and a quick swim. As soon as she got in the pool, a woman challenged her to an underwater breath-holding contest. GO COATLICUE!

Well this is where it begins! Coatlicue poured her life savings into a huge lot with a breathtaking view. And had just enough leftover to buy a bed, a toilet, a sink and mirror, and a couple of wall panels. Geez, we’ve got a long way to go!

Introduction

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , on June 24, 2009 by MythMia

headshot_largeWelcome to the Aztec Legacy! Pictured to the left is the lovely legacy founder, Coatlicue Aztec. Her name is pronounced ” ko AT le KU eh “. Don’t let these Aztec names bother you; all her descendants will have Aztec names as well, though I’ll try to keep them pretty simple. :) Mythology is a big time nerdy interest of mine, which is why I applied it to my other nerdy hobby: the Sims!

I chose to name my founder Coatlicue because she was the mother goddesses who gave birth to the earth, moon, and stars. In total, she had about 400 children, whoa lady!  Here’s a Wikipedia article if you’re curious about learning more. Unfortunately I couldn’t don my sim with a skirt of writhing snakes.

This sim is ambitious, excitable, easily impressed, a schmoozer, and a natural cook. She is the first sim in her family of poor farmers to graduate university and move out to Sunset Valley. Accustomed to hard work for very little reward, she is confident about starting at very humble beginnings and working her way up. Unfortunately she was the only child who did not recieve the green thumb trait at birth and, as a result, was a terrible farmer. She found greater talent in marketing her family’s produce as well as wisely investing the profit they made. Coatlicue soon realized she was meant for a career in business, and her family wholeheartedly supported her.

Now as a young adult, and fresh meat in the new sim world, Coatlicue is ready to build a family tree with strong, Aztec roots!
